Angus was born in Stutterheim where he completed his schooling. He studied at Rhodes University and completed his BCom LLB in 1988.

He joined Bate Chubb & Dickson Inc. in October 1990, where he is now the senior director, and specialises in all aspects of property law, conveyancing, estate planning, trusts, commercial contracts, and pre-nuptial contracts.

Angus is married to Sophia, a retired mathematics teacher and has two children, Vaughan, a civil engineer with a master’s degree in hydrology and Abigail, a veterinary surgeon.

Angus enjoys an active lifestyle travelling, kayak fishing, off-road cycling, and paddling and has been involved over the years in various leadership positions at university, schools, and sports clubs. He is committed to fulfilling his civic and social responsibilities.

Proud moments include completing the Comrades Marathon, the PE2EL Surfski Challenge (the longest endurance race at sea), the Dusi Canoe Marathon, the Joburg to Sea Mountain Bike endurance race and other sporting events.

Jason was born in East London on 18 September 1973. He matriculated from Selborne College, East London in 1991. He attended Rhodes University in Grahamstown from 1992 to 1996 where he obtained firstly his BA and thereafter an LLB. He joined Bate Chubb & Dickson in 1997.

Jason was a keen rugby player but has now hung up his boots and is a keen participant in triathlons having represented the Buffalo City team on numerous occasions at South African Triathlon Championships and having furthermore completed both the half and full Iron Man.
He is also an avid runner having completed many marathons and ultramarathons including both the 2 Oceans and Comrades races .

In line with the ethos of BCD Jason actively serves the community on a number of committees and at present is the Chairman of Arcadia Primary School Governing body, the honorary legal adviser to Oxford Striders Running Club, a trustee of the Greyhound Trust (Selborne Primary) and a member of the Mcclelland Management Committee.

Jason is married to Nina and has two daughters, Courtney and Alex and two sons, Josh and Connor.

Castro was born in Mthatha on 9 November 1991. He matriculated from Dale College, King William’s Town in 2009. He was the 5^th best academic achiever for Dale College 2009 matric class and he obtained an academic bursary at Nelson Mandela University where he completed his LLB degree in 2014. During his academic years, Castro was a formidable rugby player. He represented the NMU under 21 rugby team, but has hung up his boots in an endeavor to transform his passion into his profession. He is fashion forward and in his spare time he enjoys going to gym and performing calisthenics routines. On 1 January 2019 Castro was appointed as a Director at Bate Chubb & Dickson Inc.

Pieter van Zyl was born in Cape Town in 1989. He matriculated from Durbanville High School in 2007 and commenced his studies at the University of Stellenbosch in 2008. He graduated with a BCom degree in 2010 and an LLB in 2012.

After completing Practical Legal Training with the Law Society in 2013, Pieter joined Bate Chubb & Dickson Inc. as a Candidate Attorney. He completed his articles and was simultaneously admitted as an attorney, notary and conveyancer in 2015.

Pieter is married to Kristie and they have two boys, Phillip and Lloyd. He is involved in local theatre and serves on the board for the Arts Theatre East London. He is also a member of the BNI (Business Networking International) Dynamos Chapter and serves on the board of McClelland Adult Centre.
